News and Announcements

Dear Residents

Welcome to your new home, Union Manor Apartments! We have a few important rules that are good to keep in mind.

In 2013, Union Manor Apartments became a Smoke-Free Community. This change has made it possible for our neighbors not worry about the effects of second-hand smoke on the health of themselves or their loved ones. Plus, the odds of an apartment fire have been reduced drastically. Smoking is not allowed in any apartment, within common areas, or the parking lot; nowhere on the premises of Union Manor Apartments. Breathe deeply, neighbors!

Union Manor Apartments only allows the use of electric barbeques on the premise. These grills are the only safe method to cook food outside in high-density living. We only use electric barbeques because, charcoal and propane have a higher chance of causing fire. Charcoal by definition is a petroleum product and is a heavy polluter. Propane is extremely dangerous; a single propane tank can ignite with the force of a large bomb. Nice outdoor electric grills can be purchased for under $300.00 at many retailers.

Be sure to look for new announcements and reminders in the Union Manor Circular…

Visitor Parking

The visitor parking area, in the middle of the complex, is reserved for non-resident vehicles, 24-hours a day, 7-days a week. Resident vehicles need to have a permit and be parked in assigned spaces only. We do keep records of vehicles that repeatedly park in the visitor area, and our best to make sure that visitor parking is not abused. Make sure that your guests are not parking in the visitor area for an extended period of time, as there is a 4 hour time limit on ALL visitor stalls.

Car Ports

Please remember to only store items with in your storage locker. Any items, such as tires, furniture, bicycles, etc., cannot be stored in your carport for any amount of time. Thank you for your cooperation in this matter.

No dogs are allowed on the property, there are very few exceptions. Please be mindful of this rule and do not bring dogs onto the property even for visits.

Apartment Living Tips!

Outdoor Living on your Patio or Balcony

Have a seat…

A key to fun outdoor space is seating. It’s hard to hang out on your balcony for long periods of time if you’re always standing. As you have a small space to work with, consider multipurpose seating like a storage bench that can store your extra items and provide a great place to relax as well. If you don’t need storage, a cute bistro set offers both seating opportunities and a surface on which to put things—you might even find yourself having breakfast outside on the patio for the first time ever.

Make it pretty…

Balcony gardening has always been popular among apartment dwellers, and we have some spectacular gardeners at Union Manor! Balcony and patio gardening is a great way to lend color, and privacy, and excitement to your outdoor space. The more you enjoy your outside space, the harder you’ll work to keep it beautiful. Feel free to personalize you area with a variety of colors in your planting.

Great seating and pretty plants in cute containers are just the starting points for a beautiful balcony. Once you have these fundamentals in place, adding accessories like cute outdoor sculptures, birdhouses, or even specially designed, weather-resistant outdoor art prints are all ways to make your outdoor space fun and enjoyable, so don’t wait another day before decorating your balcony!
